There are honestly several drafts on the editing version of my site, but all of them suck, and I think I just have not had anything to say because I've been so ridiculously busy this year.

Soda firing results The Big Burn with Bruce Dehnert (originally Lander, WY) and Steve Cook (San Diego, CA) at Peter's Valley Craft School.
Who wants trout?! Here's the deal. I think many of you who are interested in those pretty buffalo are also eyeballing these trout. I won't pre-sell these so you won't be required to pay in advance, but I will take pre-orders. Kiln still isn't here, but I'm still grinding mugs out for all of you. limited time offerAs you know, buffalo mugs are $20. Trout mugs will also be $20. OR, if you also order a buffalo with your trout, or have ordered a mug between June 1st and now (July 23rd), the trout will be $15 each. This offer will last until September 30th. After that, all trout orders will be $20. You guys are rock stars! No, I'm serious, you're pretty much all my heroes at this point and man do I have a tall order to fill! I have to admit, going into this I was pretty certain I would get some sympathy orders from a few close friends and family, but I NEVER expected to reach my goal in less than a week. Do you realize what an impact each one of you has had? Starting a home studio is a big deal for a potter and something I did not think was possible even though I had decided to attempt it anyway.
You're probably here for buffalo mugs, right? If so, read on because you are right where you need to be. I've been mulling this over for a few weeks, and I feel pretty bad this year about telling so many of you "No, I don't have any more mugs. Sorry 'bout it." Especially when Mother's Day came and went. It's not like I didn't want to help all of you out, but there was literally no way to produce any more buffalo mugs! Somehow I thought buying just a wheel would solve my problems, and I now realize I couldn't have been more deluded. Then, I thought, "Okay, I'll get a kiln." Yeah, well, turns out my house also needs an electrical upgrade. There went my moderately manageable budget.
So, this is a weird observation. I never realized how many people I knew with blogs until I thought to myself, "Ya. A blog sounds like a fun idea. I should write more anyway." It seemed that as soon as I published mine and forwarded the link to some of my friends, my Facebook and Instagram feeds were filled with, "Check out my new blog post!," "Link to new post in bio!," "Giving this blog thing a try," "New blog! Check it! Link in profile!"
Wow do I feel like I did something unoriginal. Yes, I know I was piggy backing off of my dear friend Emily, and I know I'm reading blogs all the time as there is no shortage, but I figured there was more than enough room for one more person, and since I'm talking about me, doesn't that mean I've found a niche? No? Oh. Did I jump on a bandwagon? Do I have anything worth saying? Just so you know. I already wrote this once, forgot my cardinal rule of SAVE.SAVE.SAVE., clicked some God forsaken button I shouldn't have, and the page went blank. Got on chat with customer support only to determine that the post is gone forever. So, here's attempt number 2 and a picture of my June-baby for good measure:
